- HP workstations running HP-UX 11.00 or later. Note: At this time, HP-UX 11.00 is only available on a limited number of systems; you can log in to
hpux11.dc.engr.scu.edu to reach one.
Java Developers Kit 1.2.2 uses standard setup scripts. You must type

Running Java Developers Kit 1.2.2
For a Java class named "myclass" save your code in a file named
javac myclass.java" to compile your code into the class file
java myclass" to run your program.
- There are usually several versions of JDK available. Use the command "
app_versions jdk" to see which are installed.
- Some systems may have another version of Java available by default if you do not perform the setup actions.
