Availability


Preparation

Setup is only required to view the man pages or use the cjpeg and djpeg file-conversion utilites.

JPEG 6b libraries uses standard setup scripts. You must type

setup jpeg

to use this application. If you want to run this version of the software even if other versions are available, use jpeg-6b instead of jpeg in your setup statement.

See "helpme setup" for information on finding out what versions are available or what to do if the setup statement does not work.


Running JPEG 6b libraries

Compile your application with the flag

-I/opt/jpeg/include

and link using the flags

-L/opt/jpeg/lib -ljpeg

Note: To use version 6b regardless of the current system default, use /opt/jpeg-6b/OS/[include|lib], where OS is the output of the command /usr/local/sbin/ecss-sysident.
